Old Sodbury will be included in South Gloucestershire Council's 2019-20 Mobility Dropped Kerb Programme.
The programme aims to install and improve crossing points for residents who rely on wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
The council revealed that the village will be included at some point within the financial year.
Luke Hall MP had discussed the problem with residents at his recent drop-in session in the village.
He said: "I am delighted that Old Sodbury is to see more lowered kerbs.
"The issue was kindly brought to my attention during a door knocking session.
"I am pleased that the village is soon to be much more accessible in the near future."
