OFFICERS investigating an assault in Stroud have issued e-fit images of two men that they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The attack is alleged to have taken place in Queen Elizabeth II Field in Ebley last month.

A force spokesman said: "We were called to Queen Elizabeth II Field at around 10pm on Friday, June 28 following reports that two men had been attacked by another two men before a number of items were mislaid or possibly stolen.

"These items included a fluorescent green lanyard with a small plastic ID card on it from a local company and a burgundy Nike baseball cap with a white tick.

"If you recognise either of the men pictured or know who they may be please call 101 quoting incident 563 of 28 June."
