Stroud District Council will no doubt reply to Mr Kirton’s request (July 11) to know what happens to the plastic they collect from us.
But in the meantime some people may not be aware that they can recycle extra types of plastic in the plastic bag recycling bins at Cam Tesco and Dursley Sainsbury’s.
They’ll take most of the stretchy kind of plastic bags (not plastic that ‘crinkles’), like bread bags and food bags apart from biodegradable/compostable bags, as well as ring joiners from multi-packs of cans - and plastic that has the code 4 on it.
The bags need to be clean. They also take bubble wrap, I’ve just seen.
