A large water main burst left homes in Sodbury without water.
The burst, on Thursday July 11, was on the troublesome Wickwar Road.
The road had been closed whilst crews from Bristol Water worked to deal with the problem.
Bristol Water posted on Facebook: "We are aware of the burst on Wickwar Road in Chipping Sodbury, we have a crew working hard on site to get it fixed so please bear with us - I'll be updating you throughout the morning."
An update on the situation said: "The crew have confirmed that this will be a fairly significant repair and will need to carry out a cut out (which means they're going to replace a part of the pipe)."
The road was closed and then two way traffic control installed for over a week.
The road has now been reopened fully.
