There are plenty of events on this summer in and around Gloucestershire that will tickle your funny bone.

Here are six of the best comedy events taking place in the coming weeks.

Fawlty Towers Comedy Dinner

Location: Stonehouse Court Hotel, Stonehouse

Join Basil, Cybil and Manuel for a night of laughs on Saturday, August 10.

Guests will be wined and dined with a three course meal whilst they relive some of the best sketches from the classic British comedy.

Rhod Gilbert: The Book of John

Location: Cheltenham Town Hall, Imperial Square, Cheltenham

Rhod Gilbert will be coming to Cheltenham for one night only on Thursday, July 25 with his latest show The Book of John

He explains how he hit rock bottom and met a guy called John, offering a stand-up gig like none of his previous shows. Tickets cost £29.50 and the show will start at 8pm.

Adam Hess and Julian Deane

Location: The Barn Theatre, 5 Beeches Road, Cirencester

Adam Hess, star of Tonight at the Palladium, Stand Up Central and Live from the BBC is back with, without doubt, his funniest show yet heading to Cirencester.

Julian Deane will also be performing. He has been wowing audiences across the country with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery.

The event is on Sunday, July 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £11.50

Jayde Adams & Rich Wilson

Location: The Barn Theatre, 5 Beeches Road, Cirencester

Jayde Adams will bring The Ballad Of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face while Rich Wilson will deliver his Death Becomes Him sketch.

Jayde has been seen on 8 Out Of 10 Cats does Countdown while Rich has been seen on BBC Three and hosts the Insane in the Men Brain podcast.

The show is on Sunday, July 28 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £11.50

Folksy: The Comedy of Errors

Location: The Tuckwell Amphitheatre, Shelburne Road, Cheltenham

Folky Theatre present Shakespeare’s classic tale of mistaken identities. After being separated from their twins in a shipwreck, Antipholus and his slave Dromio go to Ephesus to find them. The other set of twins live in Ephesus, and the new arrivals cause a series of hilarious mistaken identity in this classic comedy which takes place on Sunday, July 21 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15

Location: Cheltenham Town Hall, Imperial Square, Cheltenham

One of Britain’s top comedians Jimmy Carr will bring his brand new show to Cheltenham.

Carr has hosted 14 series of 8 Out Of 10 Cats and starring in 10 O’Clock Live, Jimmy is a regular on all the top TV comedy shows. The show is on Sunday, September 8 at 8pm and is strictly over 16s only. Tickets are £31.50
