A NEW charity shop has opened its doors in Thornbury.
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) held the official opening of the shop on Horseshoe Lane on July 16.
The charity, which has 30 shops across the region including one in Yate, provides care for children with life-threatening conditions.
It is the only children's hospice in the south west and relies almost entirely on voluntary contributions.
Area manager Madeleine Jeanrenaud said “We are delighted to have a shop in the town, which has always been so supportive of the work we do.
"CHSW’s local hospice, Charlton Farm, is just 17 miles away, providing support to local families facing the unimaginable.”
The shop will be taking donations of ladies’ clothing, shoes, jewellery & accessories, children’s clothing, toys, games & books, men’s clothing, homeware and bric-a-brac.
