The winner of Thornbury Art Club's favourite painting poll has been announced.
Visitors to the club's exhibition, held recently in the Methodist Church Hall, were all given the opportunity to vote for their preferred artwork and the results can now be revealed.
Pauline Wilson-Smith finished in first place for her acrylic painting Preferred Silks.
Second was Silk Wood by Heather Morgan, and Clown by Nicola Latham came third.
Tricia Latham, Thornbury Art Club committee member and former chairperson, described the paintings as 'a lovely mixed bag of favourites with totally different subject matter'.
"The winner, Pauline Wilson-Smith, will receive art vouchers to spend on materials of her choice which she will put to good use," she said.
Tricia also wanted to thank everyone who voted.
The competition formed part of the club's annual exhibition and members of Thornbury Stroke Club also had artwork on display. More than 800 people visited.
