STROUD'S waste is temporarily being taken to landfill sites across the county due to 'technical problems' at the Javelin Park incinerator.
The incinerator is still being tested ahead of becoming fully operational later this summer.
A Gloucestershire County Council spokesperson said: “This is a normal and expected part of the commissioning process, ensuring the facility is working safely and effectively when it becomes fully operational.
"Waste is currently going to landfill locations in the county to minimise any disruption to kerbside collections.”
