Pilning Flower Show will have a golden theme this year as the event celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The show is taking place on Saturday, August 24 at St Peter’s School.
There are classes for vegetables, fruit, preserves, baking, homemade drinks, photography, flower arranging, adult crafts and classes just for children.
There are cash prizes, certificates and trophies to be won, including a special £10 prize for the best ‘golden entry'. Entries can be brought from 7-8pm on the evening before, or on show day before10.45am.
Other entertainment on the day will include a display of photographs and ephemera from the show’s 50 years, homemade refreshments, a raffle and a charity auction of produce and items donated by local businesses
Doors open to the public at 2.15pm. Admission for adults is £1, OAPs 50p and children free.
Money raised will go to local charity Jigsaw.
