A CHARITY music festival returned to Thornbury for a second year on Saturday.

Mellow in the Meadow was held at Pound House Farm and featured a wide range of musicians.

Joe and the Overiders, Iota and Naomi Maiden returned from last year, while The Nasty Fishmonger, Phat Garys Band, Polly Pearce and Robbie McGowan were the new acts on the bill.

There was plenty of kid's entertainment, with children under 14 able to enter for free.

Refreshments were on offer and free overnight camping was also available to festival-goers.

Last year's event raised £1,000 for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. They are set to benefit again this year but money will also go to farm safety charity Yellow Wellies.
