An appeal has been launched after an elderly man was bitten by a dog on Yate Common.
The incident took place at around 1:30pm yesterday.
The information was posted online by the Friends of Yate Common, with an appeal stating he had been attacked by a medium sized dog.
Online the appeal said: "Any info please.
"An elderly man was walking on road to nowhere about 1:30pm yesterday.
"He was badly bitten by a medium size dog.
"The walker of the dog had 3 dogs and one of them was a Jack Russell.
"If there are any witnesses to this attack or the owner/walker of this dog would like to get in contact, the dog warden would like to hear from you."
