Police have released an image of a Yate man that was sentenced to 19 years in jail after after admitting to sexually abusing a child when she was as young as 12.
Paul Starr of Beaufort Road, pleaded guilty to 12 out of 16 charges at Bristol Crown Court two weeks ago.
The 63-year-old told police that he had been 'touchy-feely' with the girl but claimed that she had been flirting with him.
The list of charges include: Three sexual assaults of a child under 13, rape of a child under 13, two sexual assaults, assault by penetration, two rapes, two charges of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, causing a person to engage in sexual activity.
The Recorder of Bristol His Honour Judge Peter Blair QC jailed him for 19 years.
Starr was also made to register as a sex offender for life.
He is also not allowed to work with children or vulnerable adults.
