ULEY village hall was filled colourful displays of fruit, flowers, handicrafts, art and photographs at this year’s annual show on Saturday.

Organised by the Uley Society, the event received 281 entries, with a new cup - the Catherine Freeth Trophy - for the person with the most entries. This was won by Carole Smith.

Cups were also awarded to Clare Pritchard, top in the vegetable section, Clare Williams for her flowers and to Rachel Davidson for her flower arrangement.

Angela Mills scooped the Barbara Harris Cup for best preserves, Andy Davis took the cookery title, and Pat Polkinghorne won the handicrafts section.

Maureen Wakefield won the art cup and Barnaby Wilson won the Rosemary Bowmer cup for photography.

Children’s winners were Charlie Bullock, Sammy Hughes, Florrie & Poppy Sage, Anya Cook, Pippa Grimsey, Florrie Sage, Austin Wilson, Lydia Tutton, Pippa Grimsey, Violet, Misty & May Sage and Lydia Tutton.
