A FUNDRAISING event has raised £1,500 for a woman battling late-stage neurological Lyme disease.

Steph Todd has had to deal with chronic pain, fatigue and tremors as a result of her condition.

She is now raising funds to enable her to visit a specialist Lyme clinic in Washington DC.

Last Saturday’s event, held at The Black Horse pub on Gillingstool, featured a pool tournament, human fruit machine and barbecue among other entertainment.

Steph said: “I’m so touched by how many people showed up and all the local businesses that supported the event.

“I wasn’t well enough to manage the whole day but my friends, family and Robynne (Steph’s friend who organised the event) were all beyond amazing helping it to run smoothly.”

The Black Horse pub are selling a green cocktail called ‘The Cure’ during September. £1 from each sale will go towards Steph’s treatment fund.
