A 23-YEAR-OLD man from Dursley has admitted sending threatening text messages and breaching the terms of a suspended sentence order.

Kaine Emery of Frederick Thomas Road, Cam, Dursley was handed a 22-month prison sentence suspended for two years at Gloucester Crown Court on March 3 this year for an offence of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm

Today the court heard that he failed to keep appointments with the probation service as directed by the court and he tampered with his electronic tag on August 19.

Emery is also due to stand trial for allegedly breaking into a house in Cam Green, Dursley on August 24, 2018 and stealing jewellery and other items, the court heard.

The burglar was captured on internal CCTV in the property but Emery maintains that the man in the images is not him.

The estimated one-and-a-half day trial was listed for October 23 at the crown court.

Emery, who will be sentenced for sending threatening messages and for breaching his suspended sentence order after the trial, remains in custody.
