Just a Minute star Nicholas Parsons has been forced to cancel event in Chipping Sodbury after suffering a nasty fall at a recent festival.
The 95-year-old was due to welcome audiences for an evening’s entertainment at the Town Hall on October 12, however the organisers of the event, South West Live, have now informed customers of the cancellation.
James Murden of SouthWestLive wished Mr Parsons a ‘speedy recovery’.
“It’s incredibly rare that we need to cancel an event but we wish Nicholas a very speedy recovery and hope to welcome him in 2020,” he said.
Nicholas also commented: “Unfortunately I have had a nasty fall during my time at the Edinburgh Festival and therefore I am unable to do a show at the present time.
“Sending my sincere apologies to everyone in Chipping Sodbury, however, I am looking forward to coming to entertain you in the coming months. Look forward to see you all then.”
