THE great British weather may have tried its best to hamper them, but in the end it failed to stop The DODS and their fabulous Yellowcoats from turning out at the Stratford Park Lido in Stroud for a photoshoot to promote their latest production, Hi-De-Hi!

Created by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, who also penned Are You Being Served?, Dad’s Army and Allo Allo, Hi-De-Hi is a hilarious comedy set in the fictional Maplin’s holiday park, following the lives of the park staff as they try their best to balance entertaining the residents and avoiding the hair-brained schemes of camp host, Ted Bovis.

The show - which won a Bafta in 1984 for Best Comedy Series - was based on writer Jimmy Perry’s experience as a Redcoat at Butlins in the 1950s.

Performances will be taking place at the Chantry Centre on the Lister Hall stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week, at 7.30pm.
