A man wearing a balaclava approached a group of 12-year-old boys and showed them two knives that he was carrying.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident that took place at The Cover in Sharpness on Tuesday night at around 5.30pm.

The man is believed to be around 18-years-old and confronted the group, he then showed them the knives. Nobody was injured and no threats were made.

Other similar incidents have been reported to police, and a Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We can confirm that at about 9.20 last night we received a report that at about 5.30pm a man, believed to be about 18-years-old had approached a group of 12-year-old boys and shown them two knives he was carrying.

"There were no threats to the boys and no-one was injured.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify the male who is said to have been wearing a grey jumper and a black balaclava.

"He removed the balaclava when he spoke to the boys.

"Anyone with information please call 101 quoting incident 473 of 22 October."
