Police in Yate have told residents that they believe County Lines in the area have been dealt with.
County Lines is where drug gangs from bigger cities such as Birmingham and London traffic drugs in to rural areas.
A number of arrests have been made in the Yate and Sodbury area over the last year and a police spokesperson informed residents at a recent community engagement forum that they believe they had solved the problem.
The spokesperson said: "Police are hopeful that there are no more drug gangs from bigger cities operating in the Yate area.
"Evidence suggests that the lines have disappeared."
