Luke Hall MP
A man has been given a suspended jail sentence after sending grossly offensive and sinister messages to Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall.
Peter Semenenko of Bristol Road in Frampton Cotterell was charged with sending the emails between January 19 and March 22.
The court heard how the 65-year-old sent 'by means of public electronic communications network, emails that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character'.
Semenenko had denied the charge, and pleaded 'not guilty' at a hearing before magistrates on April 30 this year.
He was handed a 9 week sentence suspended for 12 months at Bristol Magistrates' Court on October 17.
