Residents have reacted angirly after videos emerged online of fireworks being let off from a car window towards houses in Yate.

The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras and also posted on social media on November 5 at around 9.30pm.

A car was seen driving up St Briavel's in Yate towards Sundridge Park before fireworks were thrown from the car in to the road.

These then went off with the rocket heading towards houses and parked cars on the side of the road.

There were also reports of cars, similar to those seen in the convoy, letting off fireworks underneath Tesco in the town and also by the Rodford Way roundabout.

The incident has prompted an angry response on social media, with one resident who wished to remain unnamed saying: "It is shocking. I hope the police look in to it because what they did was really dangerous.

"Firing them off on a busy roundabout and near houses in St Briavel's is stupid. Something could go wrong really quickly."
