Parking regulations were enforced in Cirencester from the time that yellow lines were introduced in the UK in 1960.
Today’s pictures show the situation from the 1970s, 80s and 90’s.
Hector Heaven the local warden, tickets a car in the market place in 1971 and his niece Pauline Parker gets a ticket on her scooter in 1990, a car crashed into Baily and Woods in 1984 and Cricklade street is congested with parked cars in 1986.
