WITH the festive season rapidly approaching, volunteers are preparing to make Wotton look magical this Christmas.
The 'Tree Musketeers' have offered to help local traders with putting up trees and decorations and are now raising funds to cover the costs.
“Weʼre raising £1,000 to bring back Christmas trees to Wotton-under Edge,” said Cllr Rich Hale, of the Musketeers.
"The trees have been sourced locally and at cost price, thanks to Paul at Wotton Farm Shop."
This follows on from last year when, due to complications with insurance, Wotton Chamber of Trade weren’t able to install Christmas trees in the main streets of the town as they had done previously.
The team is aiming to install the trees November 29 and 30.
Anyone who would like to help should get in touch with Rich Hale via Facebook.
Rich added: “We are not undertaking this on behalf of the town council and just wish to help as much as possible as members of the public so that our town looks as festive as possible this year.”
