Poundland have responded after an elderly lady slipped on a sausage roll that was on the floor in their Yate Shopping Centre store.
Diane Davis, 76, suffered a broken arm, a damaged hip and a torn ligament in her foot as a result of the incident.
Poundland have now issued a statement, saying: "A spokesperson for Poundland said: "Obviously we were sad to hear what happened.
"Our insurance company has been in touch with Mrs Davis to discuss the circumstances."
