DURSLEY and District Round Table members have been busy brushing down the reindeers and readying the famous red suit as Santa plans to tour the area this December.

The world’s largest men’s only voluntary club is inviting families from across Dursley, Cam, Coaley, Slimbridge and Sharpness to see Santa from November 30 through to December 15.

Santa's sleigh is always one of the most hotly anticipated events of the festive season.

Round Table have been running a Santa sleigh for many years helping to raise thousands of pounds for charity as well as exciting children across Dursley.

This year’s Dursley and district Round Table Santa sleigh will kick-off from Coaley at 5pm on Saturday.

Round Table chairman Jamie Cullimore said: “Last year’s sleigh was a great success.

“We raised over £6000, and were able to donate to a number of local groups, clubs and parent teacher associations, as well as charities such as the Willow Trust, SANDS and the Rainbow Trust.

“We are looking forward to getting out into the community again this year, as this is definitely one of the highlights of our year.

“The Round Table has been organising the Santa sleigh for over 30 years and we love seeing the excited faces all along our routes.
