CHIPPING Sodbury Town Hall was the venue for a special charity event in aid of the Street Vets at the weekend.

The event had been organised by Liz Jenkins after her cat Grace was shot for the third time earlier this year.

Kokomo came to the hall to help raise money for Street Vets.

“Kokomo were one of the best RnB bands to come out of this country,” Liz said.

“They had many of the original guys and the line-up was brought right up to date with Faithless drummer Andy Treacy.

“People came from miles not only to see Kokomo but to support as we kicked off Gracie’s living legacy.

“I want to do everything to make the people of Bristol aware of the appalling acts of cruelty.

“These vets give up their own time to pets of the homeless. On Friday we had Vet Carla and vet nurse Nad talking to people about the work they do.

“This night was such a success Gracie is going to start her very own music club.”
