The charity that was supported through the Thornbury Christmas Lights switch-on recently has revealed that they raised nearly £300 on the night through charitable donations.
The street collection taken in Thornbury High Street and Castle Street on Tuesday, November 19 raised £291.79.on behalf of the Alzheimers charity 'BRACE'.
The Bristol Bears' Joe Batley was a popular choice to switch on the lights especially using for using Makaton Sign language and the crowd responded with generosity.
The organisers also thanked the public for their contributions and also showman Mr Albert Rogers for his substantial independent contribution.
