Rugby players from Yate have worked together with their teams to donate Christmas food parcels to a local food bank.
Yate RFC and HMP Ashfield worked together to donate a large amount of items for the Christmas food parcels at The Candle on Station Road in Yate.
Boxes were left over the last week at Yate RFCs home base at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex, in the main staff entrance at HMP Ashfield in Pucklechurch and at Yate RFC Player Bernie McMullen’s shop, Calendar Club in the shopping centre. for ite
Items were donated by members of the public and it was delivered last week.
HMP Ashfield Director Martin Boothm Stewart Stacey, Mark Summerville and Neil Olive all attended to hand over the boxes.
