South Gloucestershire Council have suggested they are looking at introducing parking restrictions near a school in Yate.
The council posted a consultation on their website that proposes the introduction more yellow lines near Wellesley Primary School.
It comes after there were reports of parents dropping children off at the school in their cars, ignoring restrictions on the roads.
The consultation proposes advisory yellow zigzags around the roundabout and any advisory keep clear markings should be replaced with double yellow lines.
Single yellow lines around the car park would be ‘no waiting’ on Monday to Friday between 8-9.30am and 2.30-4.30pm.
On the council website, the consultation said: “The purpose of the scheme is to improve safety outside the school and restrict areas where dangerous or obstructive parking takes place.”
