There is an appeal for information after three people ran away from a car collision in Yate, with one of the cars almost being sent crashing in to a building.

The incident took place near the roundabout for Iron Acton, next to Yate Industrial Estate and the business park, with a white Audi A3 crashing through a fence and bush before stopping just short of a building.

The building that was nearly hit was the Orchard Computers offices, owned by the company that sponsor Yate Town FC.

CCTV from the office shows the moment the car stopped just short of the office doors, fortunately no pedestrians were injured.

The incident took place in the early hours of the morning on November 24.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision in Iron Acton Way in Yate yesterday morning, shortly after 2am.

"After the collision one of the cars collided with a fence and bush surrounding the Oaklands Business Park – the occupants of the car are reported to have left the scene.

"The occupant of the other car was not injured.

"Police enquiries into the incident are continuing."
