AWARD-winning film director Ken Loach will be coming to Stroud and Dursley on Wednesday 11 December to support Labour and Co-operative Party candidate David Drew.
Ken, whose film career includes Kes, Cathy Come Home and I, Daniel Blake, will be in Dursley from around 4pm to meet voters, campaigners and supporters.
He will then be at the Labour HQ in King Street, Stroud from around 6pm.
Details of a programme with Ken Loach are being finalised and will be shared on Stroud Labour's Facebook page.
"I'm very much looking forward to my visit to the Stroud constituency and very happy to support David Drew," said Mr Loach.
"He's been a fantastic constituency MP and remains the best hope to deliver the real change which we desperately need."
He will be visiting the constituency the evening before the polls open in what is predicted to be a tight contest.
David Drew has been the Labour and Co-operative MP for Stroud after winning the seat from Tory Neil Carmichael in 2017.
