A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a car near a pub in Chipping Sodbury High Street.

Police are appealing for information after the incident took place at the weekend.

In their appeal, the police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Chipping Sodbury.

"It happened just before 5.40pm on Saturday 30 November, outside the Horseshoe pub in Broad Street.

"A red Citroen C1 being driven out of Chipping Sodbury was in collision with a man and a parked vehicle. The driver remained at the scene.

"The man was taken to hospital and later discharged following treatment for his injuries.
