A WOMAN has been sentenced to prison for 18 weeks after she was found to be in possession of a lock knife after stealing several items from Morrisons in Nailsworth.
On August 12 2019, Sharon Knowles, 56, of Belmont Road in Stroud, stole items including Absolut Vodka, sauvignon blanc, and a quiche to the value of £34.75 from the store in George Street.
Knowles was found to be in possession of the lock knife in a public place in SpringHill, Stroud on the same day.
She has failed to comply with Probation Orders in the past.
Knowles' guilty plea was taken into account when she was sentenced.
She was sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on November 26 and was ordered to pay £5 compensation to be paid by February 28.
