A 36-year-old woman from Cam has been banned from driving for more than a year after she was charged with drink-driving.

Anna Szpulak, of Lambsdowne, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when she appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on December 18.

She was stopped in her car on the A38 at Berkeley Heath on November 29 this year.

The court heard how Szpulak was found to have 84 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

Szpulak was banned from driving for 20 months, which could be reduced by 152 days on completion of a safe driving awareness course.

She was also ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling of £278.
