The incident on the road in Yate
A lady has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Yate.
The incident took place on Rodford Way at around 5pm on Monday evening.
South Western Ambulance Service released a statement following the incident that closed the old dual carriageway for over an hour.
"South Western Ambulance Service was called on Monday at just after 5pm about a collision reportedly involving a pedestrian and a car on Rodford Way, Yate," a spokesperson said.
"Our crews treated a female patient at the scene and transported her to hospital by ambulance for further care."
