The mother has been charged
A 33-year-old mother from Yate has been charged with knowingly letting her child skip school.
The woman was charged after her child failed to attend the school between January and May of 2019.
Her 14-year-old child was a student at Bristol Metropolitan Academy.
The case was adjourned to later this month on January 22 at Bristol Magistrates' Court.
Another Yate lady was found guilty of a similar offence in late 2019, she was charged over £300.
