STRONG winds and heavy rain is forecast over the next couple of days as Storm Brendan is expected to reach Gloucestershire.
Much of the county is expected to be hit by heavy rain from around 3pm and strong winds from 5pm today.
51mph gusts of wind are expected in Stroud from 5pm to 7pm this evening, with Cirencester and Stow-on-the-wold expected to face similar.
The Met Office has also issued a yellow severe weather warning for wind across the whole of the country on Tuesday from midday, with Stroud expected to be hit with 52mph gusts of wind.
