A NINE-year-old girl from Berkeley has been raising money to help animals affected by the Australian wildfires.
Kittie Stanyer, who is a pupil at Berkeley Primary School, said: “After watching the news and seeing animals in Australia lose their lives because of the bushfires, I decided to raise money for the WWF Australia to help the animals.
“My mum made some cute koala hanging decorations for me to sell for £1 each to raise money.
“My head teacher, Miss Robbins said I could sell the koalas in school.
“I then did a speech in assembly about the animals losing their homes and lives, and let everyone know how they could help by buying a cute koala.”
So far Kittie has raised £137 to donate to WWF Australia.
