Drivers in Easter Compton face a lengthy diversion on Monday.
Bowstreet Lane will be closed between 9.30am-2.30pm while vegetation clearance, road sweeping and litter clearance is carried out.
The alternative route is B4055 Blackhorse Hill, A4018 Roundabout J17 M5, A4018 Cribbs Causeway, Wyck Beck Road, Crow Lane, Henbury Road, Station Road, Avonmouth Way, Hallen Road, Berwick Lane or vice versa.
South Gloucestershire Council's StreetCare has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
