A mother has been fined
A Yate mother has been fined £130 in court after she was charged when her son failed to attend school.
The mum, 33, who lives near Abbotswood, appeared in court on January 22.
She was charged with knowingly letting her son skip school between the months of January and May last year.
The student went to school in Bristol.
She was ordered to pay a £50 fine, a victim services charge of £30 as well as further costs of £50.
