A 45-year-old man from Thornbury has pleaded guilty to drink driving.
John David Mckeown of Eastlands Road was twice the legal limit when he was caught on December 29 in Tortworth.
He pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Janaury 23.
He was caught driving a Vauxhall Meriva on the B4509 and was handed a hefty fine.
He also pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle without the correct insurance in place.
He then pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police custody on January 17.
He was fined £240 for the incidents on December 29.
Mckeown was also ordered to pay a victim services charge of £32 as well as £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was also disqualified from holding a driving license for 20 months as a result of the incident.
He was then fined a further £30, bringing the total to £387.
