ON December 16, my husband had a fall near the entrance to Aldi car park in Stroud.
He was unable to get up and an ambulance was called.
Within seconds I was surrounded by people wanting to help.
One lady stooped down with him and kept him calm, as did a gentleman.
Blankets appeared to try and keep him warm, even Aldi staff brought out a hot water bottle, and another gentleman gave him his woolly hat to keep his head warm.
I am afraid I didn’t know any of the people, but just wanted to send my grateful thanks.
Thanks must go, too, to the two police officers who were summoned by the ambulance service to divert the traffic. The ambulance crew were amazing, in quite difficult circumstances.
Reg is still in hospital but hopefully on the mend.
Sending my sincere thanks to all involved who helped us, complete strangers, and stayed the whole time.
