VALE Community Hospital is open as normal today following reports of a lockdown last night.
A spokeswoman for the hospital confirmed the health clinic is open and that the hospital is operating as normal today.
Rumours were circulating on social media that the hospital had been put on lockdown following an incident yesterday, but staff at the hospital refused to comment on the situation when approached last night.
There are fears this may have been related to the coronavirus, but Public Health England were unable to comment when contacted by the Gazette.
