HUNDREDS of people came together to enjoy a charity football match for Phillip Hardwell.
The game was held to try and raise money for Phillip’s family as the dad of two waits for a vital heart transplant operation.
Friends and family came together to support Phillip and his wife Roxy and arranged a friendly football match between Bristol City Supporters and Bristol Rovers Supporters on Sunday.
Despite the game finishing 9-1 to Bristol Rovers, there were plenty of smiles and a huge total was raised.
One of Phillip’s friends that helped organise the event Scott Walker said: “We all raised £8,406.00.
“Thank you to everybody that attended and dug deep into your pockets.
“ Also thank you to all that put on a shirt and participated as well as Kevin Milford for reffing and lastly a massive thank you to Chipping Sodbury Football Club for letting us use the facilities.
“Thank you once again everyone fantastic achievement.”
