A SERIES of guided walks have been organised at Cam’s newly discovered Roman Villa before the remains are once again preserved by covering them with earth.

Five guided walks will be held at hourly intervals on Sunday, March 1 from 10am.

A maximum of 20 people will be allowed on each walk and the places are strictly by ticket only, with only two tickets allowed per person applying.

A limited number of tickets will be available either on-line at eventbrite.co.uk/e/roman-villa-tours-cam-tickets-94132630231 or by contacting Cam Parish Council on 01453 548884.

Each guided walk will take 45-minutes.

There will be no tour at 1pm but starting again at 2pm.

Access is by foot only and there will be no parking on site.

Due to the location of the ruins the walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

The open day has been organised between Cam Parish Council, Bovis Homes and architectural surveyors Thames Valley Archaeological Services.

People who have a ticket for a guided walk will meet at the showhome on the Bovis Millfields development ready for their names to be checked before beginning the tour.
