Yate Shopping Centre
The manager of Yate Shopping Centre has confirmed that they have not installed facial recognition cameras after concerns from a resident in the area.
A resident had contacted the Gazette explaining their concerns after they had heard a rumour that the centre had installed the technology.
The resident had emailed one of our reporters asking for them to seek clarification as they didn't want their information collected in a public place.
However when questioned the Yate Shopping Centre Manager Andrew Lowrey confirmed that this was not the case.
