FIRE crews were in the centre of Stroud this evening.
Two fire engines were called after reports of a blaze in the launderette on Nelson Street.
The incident took place at Soap & Suds launderette around 5.30pm.
The fire service left the scene just after 6pm after dealing with a small fire which is believed to have emanated in one of the tumble dryers.
Smoke can be seen inside the building.
Video footage shows the scene.
Our Stroud crews have attended a fire at a local laundrette, investigation into the cause is ongoing. Good quick attendance to prevent the fire from spreading outside of the appliance. pic.twitter.com/pEMqD2KYLN
