A SEVERE weather emergency protocol (SWEP) has been activated in Stroud as snow is expected to fall on Thursday morning.
The procedure was called by Stroud District Council meaning the council and its partners will be endeavouring to provide rough sleepers with a warm bed for the night.
Temperatures are expected to plummet overnight in parts of Gloucestershire, with heavy snow expected to fall in Stroud between 8am and 10am on Thursday, according to the Met Office.
Heavy rain is also forecast between the hours of 4am and 6am on Thursday.
If you think someone may be rough sleeping, you can let the council know via StreetLink, an organisation which aims to connect rough sleepers to local services.
