Musicians, songwriters, comedians and poets will gather together in a Cotswold Pub for an ‘anti-celebration’ of all that’s miserable, annoying and down-right rubbish.

Musician and performer Steve Skinley, comedian Rob Grace and actor and Phil James have been inspired to put on the event at Cirencester’s Golden Cross Inn.

Following the success of the original ‘Everything is Awful’ night, back in 2018, ‘Everything is Still Awful’ will again be an open-mic type event where people can come together and share an appreciation of miserable music, sad songs, plaintive poetry and caustic comedy.

Via social media people have already shown plenty of interest, and spaces are filling up quickly.

“We’ve already had about 12 performers/ groups that want to play, so it’s set to be a long dreary night” says organiser and chief malcontent, Steve Skinley.

“It’s a chance to come together, share our dissatisfaction, wallow in self-pity, sing some sad songs and dance and laugh in the face of it all.

"Hopefully, everyone will have a really awful time.”

The event will take place at Cirencester’s Golden Cross Inn on Friday, March 13, in The Stable Bar at 8pm and is free entry.
