A man who assaulted an off duty British Transport Police Sergeant on a train has been found guilty in court.
Asa Manders, of the Orchards Wotton-under-Edge, was removed from the train at Yate Train Station before being sentenced at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Manders had pleaded not guilty to the charge in court on November 7.
He received a 12 week community order on a 7pm-7am curfew and was ordered to pay £100 compensation.
He was also fined over £300 in costs for the police car that was at the station.
Manders was also charged with being drunk and disorderly on the train at the time of the incident. He pleaded guilty to that charge.
